A handmade embroidered and appliqué cat wall hanging. 🐈

Created using free-motion embroidery, appliqué and a mixture of interesting textiles, this cat wall art combines cotton, wool felt, Lutradur and reclaimed fabrics to create a unique piece of textile art.

The design is stitched by me using a sewing machine, with the fabric guided by hand - a technique that feels a little like drawing with thread. This allows me to build up the design with embroidered lines, layered fabrics and contrasting textures, giving the finished cat its own personality.

Reclaimed fabrics bring extra character to the piece, making use of existing textiles in a new and creative way. The combination of materials and stitching gives this handmade wall hanging a tactile, individual quality that makes it a lovely addition to a cosy corner or a cat lover's home.
